Note on epic feats: Some of the fighter epic advancement options listed below grant feats for which the character would not normally qualify (usually due to not having a high enough class level or base attack bonus). When gaining the feat through an epic advancement option that grants it, the fighter ignores the feat's normal prerequisites; only the prerequisites listed for the epic advancement option apply. (As is usually the case for feats, if the fighter loses the prerequisites for the epic advancement option that granted a feat, he loses the use of that feat, until such time as he regains the prerequisite.)

Additionally, feats gained through these fighter-specific epic advancement options (unlike combat feats for which the fighter qualifies normally) may not be switched out on a daily basis; they are fixed when taken.

Fighter epic abilities


ADDITIONAL COMBAT REACTION
Take an extra combat reaction per round.
Prerequisite: Fighter level 6th.
XP Cost: 5,000.
Benefit: You can take one additional combat reaction per round (for a total of 3, or 4 if you also have the Combat Reflexes feat).


BASHING FINISH
You gain the Bashing Finish feat.
Prerequisite: Fighter level 6th, Improved Shield Bash feat, Shield Master feat, Shield Proficiency.
XP Cost: 5,000.
Benefit: You gain the Bashing Finish feat.


BLEEDING CRITICAL
You gain the Bleeding Critical feat.
Prerequisite: Fighter level 6th, Critical Focus feat, Weapon Focus feat for piercing or slashing melee weapons.
XP Cost: 5,000.
Benefit: You gain the Bleeding Critical feat, which applies when using piercing or slashing melee weapons, if you have the Weapon Focus feat for that weapon type.
Special: You can only apply the effects of one critical feat to a given critical hit.


CRITICAL FOCUS
You gain the Critical Focus feat.
Prerequisite: Fighter level 6th.
XP Cost: 2,500.
Benefit: You gain the Critical Focus feat.


FLEXIBLE COMBAT FEAT
Have a second "floating" combat feat.
Prerequisite: Fighter level 6th.
XP Cost: 10,000.
Benefit: Select any combat feat for which you qualify (not including combat feats available only as epic advancement options). You gain that feat. Additionally, your previously gained combat feat does not become set, and you can can henceforth switch out your two most recent combat feats instead of just the most recent one.


IMPROVED ARMOR TRAINING
Retain agility in heavy armor.
Prerequisite: Fighter level 6th.
XP Cost: 5,000.
Benefit: You can move at your normal speed while wearing heavy armor. Additionally, the armor check penalty of any armor you wear is reduced by 1, and the maximum Dexterity bonus to Armor Class is increased by 1. (These improvements stack with your armor training ability.)


IMPROVED CRITICAL
You gain the Improved Critical feat.
Prerequisite: Fighter level 6th, Weapon Focus feat.
XP Cost: 5,000.
Benefit: You gain the Improved Critical feat.


MOUNTED SKIRMISHER
You gain the Mounted Skirmisher feat.
Prerequisite: Fighter level 6th, Ride? 10 ranks, Mounted Combat feat, Trick Riding feat.
XP Cost: 5,000.
Benefit: You gain the Mounted Skirmisher feat.


PENETRATING STRIKE
You gain the Penetrating Strike feat.
Prerequisite: Fighter level 6th, Weapon Focus feat.
XP Cost: 7,500.
Benefit: You gain the Penetrating Strike feat.


SHIELD MASTER
You gain the Shield Master feat.
Prerequisite: Fighter level 6th, Improved Shield Bash feat, Shield Proficiency, Shield Slam feat.
XP Cost: 5,000.
Benefit: You gain the Shield Master feat.


SPELLBREAKER
You gain the Spellbreaker feat.
Prerequisite: Fighter level 6th, Disruptive feat.
XP Cost: 5,000.
Benefit: You gain the Spellbreaker feat.


STAGGERING CRITICAL
You gain the Staggering Critical feat.
Prerequisite: Fighter level 6th, Critical Focus feat, Weapon Focus feat.
XP Cost: 5,000.
Benefit: You gain the Staggering Critical feat, which applies when using weapons for which you have the Weapon Focus feat.
Special: You can only apply the effects of one critical feat to a given critical hit.


TWO-WEAPON REND
You gain the Two-Weapon Rend feat.
Prerequisite: Fighter level 6th, Dexterity 17, Two-Weapon Fighting, Improved Two-Weapon Fighting.
XP Cost: 5,000.
Benefit: You gain the Two-Weapon Rend feat.
